از یكی از مجلات علمی داخلی از من خواستند كه مطلبی خبری در مورد فیزیك نوترینو بنویسم. می بایست توضیحی كوتاه در مورد موضوع می دادم و بعد خبر را بگویم. متن در كمتر از 400 كلمه می بایست آماده می شد. مجبور شدم چندین جمله را كه نوشته بودم بالا و پایین كنم و حذف نمایم. تعیین اولویت و مطالب تصمیم گرفتن برای حذف جملاتی كه اولویتی كمتری دارد زمانبر است. به یاد جمله معروف منسوب به مارك تواین (نویسنده ی تام سایر و .....) افتادم:
I have made this letter longer than usual, only because I have not had time to make it shorter
گویا اصل این جمله از شخص دیگری است كه كمتر معروف است و به اشتباه به مارك تواین نسبت داده می شود. در هر حال ازمارك تواین از این تیپ حرف های جالب زیاد نقل شده است.
