Atoms in Family

In my recent post at the  physics blog, I enumerated some of the concepts and experiments called after Enrico Fermi

Enrico's wife was Laura Capon Fermi a well-known writer and political activist. She was an Italian jew. The family escaped from fascist rule of Mussolini to the US right after Enrico received his Nobel prize in Stockholm. Laura took up writing in her middle ages. One of her major concerns was the process of redefining the identity for educated emigrants like her own family in the new environment. Her most famous book is "Atoms in family: my life with Enrico Fermi

The book is written in 1954, the same year that Enrico Fermi passed away.Laura passed away in 1977 (The year was born.)
